YVETTE DUDLEY

Born and raised in Queens, New York, I am a product of hard working parents who always had an entrepreneurial spirit. I was as young as ten years old when I started “working” for one of my Father’s businesses. I also watched him travel to his real estate properties, collect rent, and manage the properties. I inherited and embraced the spirit of real estate and economic development relatively young. With my parents’ instruction “become what you want” I accepted my calling to become an attorney at 11 years old. Someone stole my bicycle when I was riding, was caught by NYPD’s Finest (My Dad), and a trial resulted. Fascinated by the judicial system, the Judge, and the attorneys at the trial, I decided then to become an attorney.

I attended Pennsylvania State University (B.S. 1989) and Howard University School of Law (J.D., 1992). I was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1993. I am also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court, Southern and Eastern District of New York.

I opened my office in 1994 and eventually concentrated in real estate and economic development and planning. My team and I have established an office that addresses various options to accomplish this concentration. We mainly focus on real estate litigation and transactions, and chapter 7, 11, and 13 Bankruptcy. We not only serve as litigators; we serve as your counsel and advisor on real estate issues. We understand the value of real estate and seek to provide meaningful and practical advice and planning to maximize the benefits of your asset.

I do not profess to be a miracle worker. I do however, commit my energy and resources to achieving your desired result. It is my honor to serve on your team for your real estate needs.

Having a solid, detailed contract is the key to minimizing contractor disputes later. Every renovation details should be in the contract. The payment schedule should flow evenly with the precentage of work that the cntractor is completing. Visit the property to ensure contract complianceand to address any deviation early.

We must think of creative ways to save our homes. If you inherit a home that has an open mortgage with favorable terms, ask the lender if you can ASSUME THE MORTGAGE. Let's create and maintain generational wealth.
